CNS Pharmacology is a unique 17 credit program designed for all Paramedics. It consists of a short pre-read and a one day classroom session. In the pre-read you will learn how neurotransmitters and common drugs interact to produce the signs and symptoms we see in our patients. This program is full of high return facts which will help you become expert in the assessment and treatment of complicated cases.
This one day course Hydrogen Sulfide Training for the Oil And Gas Industry, is intended for all workers in the petroleum industry who may be exposed to environments where Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) is present. Each student will be required to operate a detector tube device, operate a self-contained breathing apparatus, and perform rescue breathing on a mannequin. Students must demonstrate required skills and obtain 70% on a written examination.
Overview of First Aid & CPR techniques with scenarios taken from the marine/fishing industry for individuals who need a basic training level in First Aid & CPR for the marine industry. The course develops skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for Adults, CPR Level A, and other topics including choking, airway and breathing emergencies and prevention of disease transmission.
This 4-hour workshop is designed to acknowledge the training and knowledge of Licensed Paramedics. It is intended to be a practical application of skills required when practicing as an Occupational First Aid (OFA) Attendant.
