The Fall Protection End User Course is designed to give students a good understanding of fall protection as it relates to the safety standards in the Province of BC.
Students will examine the components that create fall protection systems and review the governing bodies that control fall protection regulations and standards.
A one day course that references WorkSafe BC standards as well as Canadian Standard Association fall protection equipment standards.
Topics include:
- Regulations
- Fall protection plan
- Systems: Hands on approach to systems
- Inspection: Students will inspect components of systems
- Fit
- Suspension
- Knots
- Rescue considerations
What you should bring:
Hard hat, CSA boots or shoes and clothing that will allow you to perform inspections and actually try on the fall protection equipment. Fall protection gear will be provided for use during the class. Students are encouraged to bring their own systems for fitting and inspection but it is not a requirement. Pens and work books will be provided.
